In May 2008 Losky Films was given an Advantage West Midlands award by Screen WM to develop the critically acclaimed stage play CANNED PEACHES IN SYRUP into a feature film. In June 2008 Saskia Sutton produced ‘English Bloody Rose’, a Digishort for Screen WM and the directorial debut of Alex Jones.

‘ENGLISH BLOODY ROSE’

Losky Films has now concluded the production of the Digishort ‘ENGLISH BLOODY ROSE’. The Writer/Director is Alex Jones (’NOISE’,‘CANNED PEACHES IN SYRUP’), the Director of Photography is Nick Beeks-Sanders and the composer is David Lowe.

ENGLISH BLOODY ROSE is about a university student who is forced to take desperate measures to pay her way through her studies, without realising her mother has been doing the same. The truth comes to light when the dark underworld they are embroiled in confronts them head-on. The student EMMA is played by Jennifer Kristian and the mother is played by Jille Meers.

‘CANNED PEACHES IN SYRUP’

Screen West Midlands have given the greenlight to producer Saskia Sutton to fund the development of the screenplay for this award winning stage play premiered at the Pasadena Playhouse in Los Angeles and put on by the Furious Theatre Company in October 2007. The ScreenWM/Advantage West Midlands award will see the development of the screenplay by the playwright/screenwriter Alex Jones. The Los Angeles based stage director of Canned Peaches in Syrup, Damaso Rodriguez will direct the feature film. Saskia Sutton will Produce.

‘S4H’ 

Saskia has recently produced a trailer for a feature film called ‘S4H’ for Roger Shannon’s Swish Films. The Writer/Director is Khaled El Hagar and the music is by Brian Travers and Martin Meredith of UB40 and the Director of Photography is Nesto Calvo Pichardo. The trailer stars Sharon Maughan, with Angela Griffin, Aaron Cass, Nabil Elouahabi and Holly Grainger

Saskia is currently involved in the writing of a Feature Film set in early Arabia.
